The Cellular Connection Michigan City Store Sets Grand Opening Celebration |

The store is located at 3409 Franklin Street. The Cellular Connection is a retail store providing wireless communication technology, including Verizon Wireless services, cellular telephones and accessories, satellite television via DISH Network. During the Day, the Cellular Connection will be offering featuring several special opportunities. During the day, visitors to the store will be eligible register to win a free flat screen television, eat lunch and attend a ribbon cutting at Noon. Simply visit the store and complete the registration card for the free flat screen television. In another special feature to celebrate the Grand Opening, The Cellular Connection store will offer a free Camera phone after mail in rebate. A two-year new service agreement with Verizon Wireless is required. Stop by the Cellular Connection today at Noon and have lunch and meet the store personnel. In addition, the store will be collecting used cellular telephones for their Connect With A Cause campaign. This fundraising campaign allows people to turn in unused wireless phones, which results in a financial donation to a local charity. Proceeds from the current campaign benefit The Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Since March, more than $5,000 has been raised through the Connect With A Cause campaign. Overall, The Cellular Connection has raised nearly $20,000 for not-for-profit charities through the donation of old cellular phones. The Childhood Leukemia Foundation provides specialized programs to aid children with Leukemia. These programs include specialized summer camps for cancer patients, supporting hospital "wish lists," and providing financial assistance to families. The Cellular Connection has grown steadily over the past twelve years, and has become one of the larger retailers for Verizon Wireless in Ohio and Indiana. The Cellular Connection, started in 1990 in Marion, Ind., has grown dramatically over the past three years, adding more than 70 new retail outlets in that period. The company currently operates more than 75 stores in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky. The company is now one of the largest Verizon Wireless agents in the Midwest.
